Michael began his successful 12-year career as a camera assistant. His studies in film production and Cinematography as well as his tenacity and devotion to his craft enabled Michael to work with and study such award winning cinematographers as Claudio Miranda (“The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button”, “Tron Legacy” and “Life Of Pi”), Amir Mokri (“Bad Boys II”), and Daniel Pearl, whom he worked with on numerous music videos and television commercials. With this tireless determination and passion for cinema Michael embarked on the next phase of his career in 2009, as a talented Director Of Photography. Right away Michael began shooting commercials such as; the NFL Channel’s “Game Day”, Miller Beer “Splash” and Samsung “Galaxy”, just to name a few. In 2010 Michael shot the sci-fi thriller “Skyline”, which was critically acclaimed for it’s unique visual style. Universal Pictures released “Skyline” domestically, to more then 2,880 screens. And in 2012 Michael traveled to India, where he shot the high-octane action film, “Roar - Tiger of the Sunder Bans”, which was released world wide in October of 2014.
“Unlike all the other art forms, film is able to seize and render the passage of time, to stop it, almost to possess it in infinity. I’d say that film is the sculpting of time.”
